Obtaining a Press Pass

Press Passes for the 2011 National Poetry Slam are available for qualified individuals:

  • Persons directly affiliated with a print publication may email [email protected] to apply for a Press Pass. Freelancers and representatives of online publications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • A Press Pass does NOT confer admission to the Finals on August 13. Press wishing to cover Finals must apply separately for a Finals ticket.
  • Press may not approach or interview poets during a competition. Press whom NPS staff deem to be disturbing the competition may be asked to leave at any time. A Press Pass does not guarantee interviews or time with any poet.
  • Photographers must sign the Clearance Agreement and also display a Press Pass in order to be permitted to photograph. Photographers whom NPS staff deem to be disturbing the competition may be asked to leave at any time.

To be considered for the Official NPS Photography Team, email[email protected].
